It’s that time of year again. We’re looking forward to the cool showers on warm new tans. Heading down to dinner or ice cream with your summer delight. Everything you need to grace the summer, home or away, is right here.

  1. Effortless Dinner Elegance

Maxi-length dresses that are fitted with a little bit of skin: We’re looking and talking comfortably, breezy, and breathable. You can find sustainable options, which also make you feel better. Some of the main elements could be linen, cotton or rayon for a more breathable wear. Consider spending up a little bit on this dress. It can be your piece de la resistance, with a dressed up look: in a heel, or white tennis sneaker situation.

2. Showing off YOU

Cutouts are going to be your friend: In a grid, triangles, left and right, nothing shows off a fresh tan better. Show a little leg. There are so many ways to style what makes you feel good. Think shirts with mesh, grids, and most importantly, swimwear.

Pink has always been our friend. Whether hot, or pastel, being pretty in pink will never grow old. If you've never worn it, this could be the best summer to try something new.

3. Swim Continued

For my trunk-wearing friends: Keep it simple, keep it classic.

Get a cut that works. Think mid thigh, not too high, not too low.

When looking for prints and styles that work, think of what your father has in his closet and move away from it. Maybe, lines, solids and dots.

5. Brights

Nobody knows bold pops of color better than a Caribbean designer: Olette is an organic and sustainable brand from the Dominican Republic. Oh yeah- their designs are also bursting with modernism and some of the best looks of the summer.

6. The Timeless of Regency Core

Who knows regency-core better than royals? Nobody. Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, knew it back in March.

From the author's favorites, the timeless classic of a blue wrap dress is fit for summer, whether in the Caribbean or Greece. Stay cool, beautiful and comfortable in a simple and elegant look, like this one from Rove Designs.

No Outfit Can Be Considered Complete Without the Right Pair of Shoes.

There is nothing better than having a comfortable, reliable pair of shoes on your feet. No, you don’t need to kick them off under the dinner table, or worry if they’ll be ruined with a little bit of sand.

1. Chunky Sandals

Don’t forget the sunscreen on your feet before you go out: We don’t want those awkward tan lines that we’ve all had before. Paired with a dress, the bold white or blocked color adds a little foundation for the patterns and bold colors that you should be playing with this summer.

2. Throw it back to ancient Rome: Solid Sandal

Throw it back to (and in) a comfortable upgrade to flip flops. More secure and virbat, a pair of leather sandals might upgrade your look. (We still love the Birkenstocks, but consider a new pair of sandals–who can have enough shoes?)

3. Platform Heels and Chunky Sandals

Throw in a pump of color to any outfit with a matching heel. With strong, funky shaped heels to give you all the support you'll need, check out a fun heel to elevate and boost an already incredible outfit or swimsuit photoshoot by the pool, or with that beautiful new or old dress at dinner.
